In the distant Morocco, the night club singer Amy Jolly (Marlene Dietrich) predominantly comes to members of the Foreign legion or wealthy businessmen who have made a trip to the northwestern country of Africa. So it happens that Amy is torn between the craving for two completely different men: between the rich gentleman La Bessiere (Adolphe Menjou) and the simple Foreign Legionnaire Tom Brown (Gary Cooper). His position to Amy’s favor in competition with the wealthy La Bessiere for hopeless, he breaks the contact with her and moves out with his unit. Disappointed by Tom’s disappearance, Amy accepts a proposal to marry La Bessieres. But when she finds out at the engagement party that Tom has happened to a battle, she immediately breaks up to find her real sweetheart…
